GRAND PRIDE WEDDING 2014

Toronto’s World Pride Festival may be past its half way mark, but Thursday’s Grand Pride Wedding at Casa Loma was definitely the venues most extravagant event to date. 120 couples attended the event, North Americas largest, tying the knot at Toronto’s urban castle.  The Westend Studio was on hand to capture the event as the official photographers.

The wedding ceremony began at 3 p.m., lasted about an hour and featured presentations by representatives of 12 faiths, as well as opening remarks from Deputy Mayor Norm Kelly and openly gay Ward 27 Councillor Kristyn Wong-Tam.  It was followed by a reception on the castle’s grounds as well as dinner and dancing.  Truly a wonderful occasion.
